Is It Possible To Find Affordable Health Care

Finding affordable health care in America is getting harder. Companies are using rising premiums and tighter financial budgets to reduce the level of health care available to their employees. My work health care plan was, until the latter part of 2006, great but now the benefits it supplied have been reduced. My employers excuse was it was getting to expensive with the current company and was going to switch to a less expensive one. health

The excuse was that they were trying to ensure the new package would help everyone in the company. I am told that the new insurance package is still very good and I am lucky to have it. The new insurance company may be cheaper for the company but it is not for me because to have my husband and daughter in the plan costs double what it did with the previous provider. Taking a good deal less home in my paycheck to have my family remain on the health care policy seems to be the only option I have because almost everyone else is happy with the new arrangement.

To be honest, I got on well with the old provider but cannot see that happening here even if the health care plan is half decent. In my opinion, the company’s search for affordable health care not only left all of us with a significant cut in our paychecks, but higher co-pays and more out-of-pockets expenses from us. You see, four years ago, I gave birth to a little girl and of course my old insurance paid for the whole of my hospital stay. This new plan, under similar circumstances however, would personally cost me in excess of 5,000 dollars.

Keep in mind that although I would have to pay hospital fees, there is also the small matter of my co-pays as well. The availability of affordable health care plans is on the increase which should help those less fortunate. Options now exist for people that are not supplied with a health provision where they work, and now single mothers have access to plans which they can join; some people can even have free health care. Unfortunately, there are always a few that want to ruin it for the rest and this system is prone to misuse.
