Boot Camps and your Budget
The battle of the bulge has yet another fad to choose from in the health and fitness arena. Cashing in on the billion dollar Health and fitness industry are Boot Camps. All aimed at loosing weight. The teenage boot camps, the army style boot camp, the five star boot camps ……and some more boot camps. ‘The ultimate life changing experience’….. Is how the health and fitness boot camps describe themselves?
A home away from home packed with creature comforts overlooking breathtaking views…….. A day cramped with physical activities ranging from aquatic to cardio to yoga etc…Testimonials brag about cumulative inches and pounds lost by the group. The food is prepared by celebrity chefs etc.
Health and fitness boot camp……I don’t know who checks into one them ….Maybe the celebrities…….and the rich and famous…… The costs are prohibitive for the average working person. On the low end the average cost for one week in the boot camp is $2,250 and for 16 weeks the cost is $35,000. The high end boot camps charge $5000 for a week and $60,000 for sixteen weeks. For some of us it is a down payment on a house. All of a sudden Liposuction and Personal Trainers are looking good.
